She has wide-ranging experience in all aspects of criminal law, with a particular emphasis in fraud and financial crime. She routinely works on complex, document-heavy cases, including multi-million-pound fraud conspiracies.

Burcin also offers specialist expertise in forfeiture, confiscation proceedings and associated applications made under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and the Criminal Justice Act 1988. 

Before joining Boothroyds, Burcin worked as a Paralegal in Immigration law, where she gained valuable experience, including: preparing and running cases involving deportation and removals from the UK, leave to remain, entry clearance, asylum and human rights.
